London Book Fair

I went to the London Book Fair at the Olympia today, on its third and last day. My first "big" book fair (though still smaller than I had imagined). Arrived just in time for the Praspar Press event with Jen Calleja, my Arvon course teacher, Kat Storace and Loranne Vella. There were about fifteen people sitting in a semicircle listening to the readings. Strange, this exhibition of intimacy, this fight of clustered density against the backdrop of the sound of the crowd, like wind searching for a direction. I´ll order the collection of New Maltese Writing.
